Round 1

Legacy Dengo W
My opponent gets down both rocks and a single Gimmighoul and passes. My first hand has an Iono and a Research, and I really really want to play the research, but I'm holding Froslass and Super Rod, and after I topdeck a Night Stretcher discarding all this stuff isn't allowed, so I grumble and Iono us both, draw my Secret Box into a full board behind a charmed Budew. I get into double Froslass double Monkey behind this Budew, then manage to cheat his legacy energy with damage counters. My Iono causes him to miss the knockout on my Grimmsnarl and I take 4 prizes the next turn.
Round 2

Legacy Dengo W
My opponent's start is fast but comes at the cost of his board. I lose 2 Imps and a Budew before I get into a Grimsnarl, but he only has 1 Dengo for most of the game. Candy Grimm and some Froslass Munkidori stuff lets me take both rocks and a Gimmighoul with a CC, and I prebench a charmed Budew since I know I'll likely have to buy a turn with Iono Itchy Pollen. I'm not exactly sure what happened on the other side of the board because a lot of cards were drawn and played but a Cipher has to be used to hit the knockout on Grimm so my CC Itchy Pollen on Fez sticks for a turn, allowing me to close the game with with Bear + Munkidoris.
Round 3

Tera Box W
I choose first but my hand is like 3 supporters and an Imp, so I sit there and try not to get donked. I manage to dodge, and draw supporter into a reasonable board. Itchy Pollen denies any board ruining Waterpon potential, and I get to CC 180 the Waterpon after Fan Rotom takes out my Budew. Bundle Crispin lets him take 2 with Torrential Pump, but I'm able to take out the Teal Mask with CC Shadow Bullet thanks to double Froslass and get enough damage on board to pick off the Waterpon next turn. My opponent benches a Fez and draws some cards before I can stop him but I tell him just to put them back because I have game the next turn anyway.
Round 4 ID - Garchomp player I will see later.
Round 5 ID - Pultnoir? Idk I just saw the 3-0-1 pairing and offered frame 1.
Top 8
Garchomp WLW
I work my way through a bunch of battle cages to Froslass KO all the Roserades. At the end of the game I go into Itchy Pollen while I stack damage on the active Garchomp. If my opponent had thought about this more they could have taken a KO on Budew with something besides Garchomp to force me to gust, but instead I get a prize off Roserade then Bloodmoon the active for game.
I draw kind of poorly failing to chain supporters but there's plenty of time so I decide to try and count Battle Cages. At least 3!
My opponent misses Gible going first so I Budew him like 5 times then clean the board with Shadow Bullet + Froslass Munkidori stuff.
Top 4

Pultnoir WW
I get into Double Grimm and set up a ton of damage on their side. I'm surprised by a Candy to save a Dreepy I was planning to pick off the next turn, but I triple Monkey into TM:Devolution wipe all the energy and the game is over.
My start is slow since my draw supporter doesn't chain but I have a Budew. I slowly set up a single Grimmsnarl and Froslass triple Monkey after barely avoiding a boardwipe. I use CC to remove the Munkidori and a Dusclops to go down to 2. He passes, I think because both Pults are in range of Bloodmoon double Munkidori at 2-2 so I punch his active Dragapult for 180. I'm not sure how I'm going to close the game since the other side of the board has 2 loaded Pults and my Devo is floating around unsearchably in the deck, but I realize I always win the stalemate by using all my Monkey triggers on the backup Pult. He dives into my Grimmsnarl but I have game on board.
Finals

Eevee LL
My opponent's board is terrible because they miss Fan Rotom but my Lillie draws into a bunch of nothing so they get to play the game. I'm pretty sure I literally get pumped 3 times this game and all 3 Boss are played with pretty minimal available search which is very cool. There's a swing turn in the midgame where I boxed for Iono CC but I probably should have just sent the Candy and hoped for CC off the draw supporter since my bear is prized. Iono gifts the opponent Jet energy Boss and then a Hilda off the top so I get a Froslass sobbed and then pumped for game. Nice!
I choose first and get down an Imp and a Snorunt behind a Budew I would like to use the next turn. Instead I get hit with turn 1 Flareon through Boosted Evolution Eevee which is a hundred times more egregious than it used to be because it requires the one of Crispin or the one of Crystal. My hand is cooked so I Filch and draw Research while I'm holding both of my CCs and just slowly lose the game after trying to be mildly annoying. Bravery charm is prized and the Pidgeot goes up so I can't even prize check for Black Belt with charmed Ursaluna. Pokemon Trading Card game.
I don't really know what to think about this one, feel like I could have won game 1 if I was better (or luckier) and then I could have scooped that completely cooked game 2 for another chance in G3, but it feels like the divine punishment for misplaying in the first place. Oh well. I go home and get overstimulated at a birthday party for a few hours.

Bonus Forretress Kang League Challenge content:
I wake up at 1030 because I stayed up late last night playing co-op slay the spire, double check the cards in my stupid meme deck and barely make it to the train that takes me to Good Games for the 11am League Challenge. I get to the shop and then have the lightbulb realization that I should have played Arbok instead if I was playing a stupid meme deck, but I probably had no time to assemble and sleeve that.
Double Crisis Punch, Miracle Headset.
Round 1

Alakazam W
I double mist my Kang but she keeps playing so I know there's hammers or other attackers in this deck. Probably should have loaded up 2 Kangs but I figured 2 mist was enough, silly me. The outs are 2 hammers which never show up and a legacy energy Bloodmoon Ursaluna that comes out after I chase down every Abra line on the board. This thing scares me because there's a jet to keep using it, but I manage to triple ice cream an attack, knock out the bear and Iono her low. I think I was supposed to lose this but I don't know how much energy was left to attack with the Togekiss she'd attached to.
Round 2

Pultnoir L
I set up 2 Kangs and mist them both. My first one goes down to Dusknoir Phantom Dive so I Iono to 1 and hit the active, but my Iono gives him an Iono and I miss Boss and Acerola off a Run Errand + Pokegear to finish the game. I flipped so many tails this game :(
Round 3
Great Tusk W
My opponent grumbles at the pairing, especially after I'm able to cipher 2 stadiums into my hand to use against the eventual Neutralization Zone. I'm a bit concerned that Great Tusk's second attack can KO a Kang, but I decide this is not real without an actual 4x Sada Chain and I don't want to deal with Handheld Fan shenanigans, so I load up one Kang, then draw + attack until I'm at 2. I know he wants to Iono and stadium check me, but he only plays 1 Iono and I gave him 2 prizes off Forretress, so I Iono him first and draw into another stadium. He looks at his hand and my 1 prize card and concedes.
Round 4

Pultnoir W
My opponent is playing a post rotation build of Pult or something so I set up smoothly since I never get Iono'd and play an Acerola after my Iono to 1 and checkmate them.
Round 5

Festival Skeledirge L - my needy opponent begged for an updated icon
I ask my opponent if he needs points or anything and we try to math out if an ID accomplishes anything for prizing purposes, but it's too much work so we just play. I Iono him to 1 and bump stadium + KO attacker. The 1 card is Lillie, GGs. We play Gyarados vs Flyterra while we wait for standings to prize out, I get him with Flygon Lv X milling his last warp energy after a scoop up tails.
I have actual irl errands to run but I agree to go to a sports bar with my friends where we watch Michigan destroy Tennessee. Afterwards I take the train up to Argyle and get my haircut, then meet a friend for dinner at Phở Việt since my go-to spot Pho 888 is closed while the owners are on vacation.
